Leanna Cinquanta (Author)
With gruff fatherly love Leanna’s dad Joe used to look into her face and say, “You can do anything you want to if you want to do it bad enough!” He taught her to fly a plane when she was nine years old and her mom Kathy home-schooled her until high school. By age fourteen she had helped her parents design and build four homes while living in a twelve-foot camper often without electricity or running water. At sixteen, with a handicapped horse and almost no instruction, she became the youngest rider to win a national and regional equestrian championship.A self-declared atheist, on March 28 1986 at age fifteen Leanna experienced a dramatic spiritual epiphany in which she met Jesus face-to-face. From that point she became a passionate Christian. Through dreams and supernatural guidance God commissioned her to go to a far-away land “to rescue those trapped in darkness.” Living directly with the native people, she subjected herself to the rigors of a developing country including drinking putrid water from village wells and subsisting on survival-level rations. In 1997 Leanna and her mom Kathy founded a nonprofit organization which is now known as WIN (We Ignite Nations). The first project to help low income villagers was funded by selling the last thing Leanna owned – her horse. By equipping and empowering the native people to serve their own communities, Leanna and her teams have catalyzed movements which continue to result in hundreds of thousands of people saved, transformed and rescued out of slavery. Today, WIN's focus is on igniting sustainable solutions to poverty and virtually ending human trafficking and other forms of slavery in target areas. Some of these projects are literally influencing nations. Leanna's first book “Treasures in Dark Places” published by Chosen/Baker Publishing Group was released in January 2017. Her second book, "Your Secret Calling: Ancient Keys to unleash God's highest purpose," releases July 2nd 2024. This book encapsulates Leanna's fifteen year journey of discovering and field testing a little-known pathway to bring hope, healing and purpose into every sector of life. Leanna is a globally influential motivational speaker, helping others to discover the power of God’s purpose for their lives and the adventure of influencing the world toward God's good purposes of life, love and liberty.
