Someone once said, “It can’t be all rainbows and unicorns forever. ” Very true.

Or should we simply roll up into a ball and accept our fate as a planet on its inevitable journey to its final days?While this is clearly the fight for our lives, I am confident that wecan build sustainable communities and nurture a vibrant, healthy planet.

Without action – which includes legislation – we risk extinction, much like countless other species. It’s a race against time.

The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the habitats we inhabit, and the ecosystems that sustain all life on Earth will disappear without the direct intervention of our politicians. But, even with mountains of evidence of environmental damage around the world, there are still many politicians and governments that do not understand that the environment requires care and intervention.

This is a battle for our survival as a species. And we must make it happen with political action.
