God Sent an Atheist to Change My Life: Let Me ExplainI have experienced a remarkable transformation that I feel compelled to share. My name is Courie Gayle, born on April 24, 1977. During a period of uncertainty and without parental guidance, I finally encountered the Lord for myself.At the age of 12, my family was involved in a horrific car accident that claimed my mother’s life. Despite my challenging past, I grew up to become the owner of a very successful mortgage company, acquiring considerable wealth before losing it all during the 2007/2008 Global Financial Crisis. After that fall, I dedicated myself to financial planning, determined to teach people how money works through lessons I learned personally.Now a successful financial planner, I enjoy a blissful marriage with my wife, Katrina, and proudly raise five children—Kori, Leila, Corrina, Kobe, and Christian. The joy extends further with three wonderful grandchildren, making our family a living testament to the blessings that have unfolded. Our purpose is deeply rooted in appreciation. We are dedicated to leveraging all my talents and gifts for the continued growth and success for the Lord.The reason I said God used an atheist to change my life is because my wife and I were randomly approached in a restaurant by Carlos as we dined. He said he saw a warmth and a light in me. If you were having dinner with Katrina and I, you would know there is no reason to be skeptical because He was with us, too. Carlos quickly introduced me via Zoom, to his friend Mark Schoenfeld, a famous Beverly Hills based Hollywood producer. Mark immediately agreed with Carlos that he could feel the warmth and light through Zoom. In Tinsel town, they call it “magic” or the " IT " Factor. I know what is, and so do you. We call it grace. Mark asked me, " Courie " what do you want to do with absolute passion for the rest of your life? I told him I wanted to serve the Lord with all my heart, mind, and soul. Mark suggested that I write a book. The funny part of this story is that he saw “magic” in me. Still deep down in my spirit I knew that God was at play, using a nonbeliever’s relationships, resources, and network built up over 50 years to help me spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide by creating this anointed book of testimonials.Mark mentioned this movement might even become a Christian mini-series.God used Mark Schoenfeld to change the trajectory of my life.
