XIPOHUA PUBLISHING fue fundado en 2024 por Stephanie F. Valadez como una forma de enseñar a sus hijos sobre su cultura indígena.
Era difícil encontrar muchos libros en náhuatl y sobre la cultura nahua, entonces decidió hacerlos ella misma. Estos libros utilizan los variantes Huasteca Veracruzana, Central, y Náhuatl Clásico y central dependiendo del contenido de cada libro.
Las imágenes son de los códices, generadas por AI, o originales de ilustradores . Los textos utilizados provienen de la tradición oral, flor y canto (in xochitl, in cuicatl) o vocabulario apto para niños.
La cultura indígena ha sido y sigue siendo suprimida. XIPOHUA PUBLISHING es una pequeña manera de retroceder y transmitir el lenguaje, las formas de ser y las epistemologías de nuestros ancestros.
