This work is the result of a scientific initiation project carried out by Lucas Silverio Parreira. I was delighted to accept the invitation to publish the results obtained at the end of this research.

This work deals with the problem of the illicit acts common to Ancient Babylon and the present day, seeking to identify the types, incidence, recidivism and reason for the practice of such acts for the development of this research, crucial and determining material for the development and conclusion. It is not just a question of comparing the letter of the law; this work deals with a topic of unparalleled importance, in which society is a victim on a daily basis.

We have taken care to study both sides of the crime, i. e.

we look at the perpetrators (active subjects) and the situation that led them to commit such offenses against the legal system for society (passive subjects).
