AMERICAN author Mark Neracher was born in Detroit, Michigan, and while growing up there, he took advantage of everything the Great Lakes had to offer. He rode off on a motorcycle, eventually settling in Denver, Colorado. He now lives in Arizona and splits his time between Phoenix and Northern Michigan. When he is not writing he oil paints, is an accomplished wood carver, studies Great Lakes geology, and enjoys a rousing game of croquet. Early influences included Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy, among many other greats, and the impact these authors had on him is reflected in his work. Add Kyle Mills, Ken Follet and Vince Flynn to the mix and that about sums up the character voices in Neracher's Max North World Trilogy. (The World by Storm; World Victory; World of Hurt). "I have been hearing impaired since childhood and have been a relative loner all my life, so it's easy for me to get lost in writing and my hobbies. Publishing is scary because it has forced me outside of my comfort zone. I only hope that people will enjoy my work, because that's what it's all about.
