The story has a good flow of gradually beginning to build up to the sparks for the main plot. Introductions of new characters isn't choppy and flows fluidly, there's mystery and questions left unanswered leaving the reader wanting to keep reading to try and figure out the unspoken mysteries within the pages.

There's so much intrigue and instances of leaving you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely loved it.

I desperately wanted to see where the bond between the two adventurers would go, and the dynamic personality of Tessa in particular of a strong outer shell with the core of a little girl that just wants to be strong tugs at heartstrings and is a refreshing break from copy-pasted "strong female characters" of many books of this day and age. Windchaser is a strong start for an up-and-coming author and I look forward to seeing more of both Kieran and Tessa, and Achak herself, as their story goes on.
