Ellie grew up believing in God through the Catholic church. However, through a series of life events stemming from childhood, she was left to believe she had been abandoned by Him over and over again.

She was in her mid-thirties and had just hit the ten-year mark in her marriage when a devastating accident brings on major realizations, causing her to reevaluate her entire perspective on life and her relationship.
