Elizabeth Avery Scott is a playwright, author, theatre producer and professional counsellor. She holds a Master of Arts Practice (Scriptwriting), a Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communications), a Graduate Diploma of Relationships Counselling and a Diploma of Counselling among other qualifications. She began her professional life as a freelance journalist but later went on to work in public affairs and human rights advocacy. In 2009 she took a deep dive into her love of theatre and founded a drama school, Perform Australia, with her actor-director husband, James Scott, which delivers performing arts programs to little children right through to aspiring professional performers. Elizabeth's own plays have been performed in Canberra and Sydney, Australia, but she has also produced over 100 other theatre productions. Her published works include her plays, books on acting, and self-help books drawn from her experience as an individual and relationships counsellor.
