Ever since primary school, Dave had a love of books. He’d read voraciously anything he could get hold of, but it wasn’t until he tried the Horror and Mystery genres that the bookworm in him flew.Starting early with “The Howling” by Gary Brandner and pulp classics by Guy N. Smith, he then devoured everything James Herbert, Richard Laymon, Shaun Hutson and Dean R. Koontz offered up. Then at the early age of 14, he tried his hand at writing with “The Soul of the Gem” which was almost picked up but sadly didn’t see the light of day.Joining a magazine company, Dave wrote articles and reviews which scratched the writing itch but never fulfilled it, and he yearned to write a novel as he was forever coming up with ideas that lay unwritten.Years passed and Dave became an admin for social media online, but quickly found that he was hindered by media law in what he could reveal, so filled the gaps with dramatic prose that was enjoyed by the audience following the page.Calls to write a book followed and never one to deny a request, Dave finally began his first novel, “What We Leave Behind”.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
