Michael Goodwin Hilton is a playwright, poet and fiction writer. His plays include “Blue Sky Somewhere” (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), “The Mountaineers” (T. Schreiber Studio), “Dance With Winter” (F.E.A.T.S. Festival Luxembourg), “The Weary” (RPW & Stories About Humans), “Sunlight Man” (Five & Dime Theatre) and “Light Below Us” (New English and American Theatre). He is a two-time recipient of the Governor's Award for Best Play in the State of New Jersey, The Spotlight Award from True Acting Institute, in addition to other honors. His work has been published by Smith and Kraus in The Best Men’s Monologues of 2019 & 2020 as well as the Best Women’s Monologues of 2020 & 2022. His writing has appeared in Tiny Seed Literary Journal, After Dinner Conversation and his debut short story collection What The Statue Thinks has been published by Wild Ink Publishing. He previously lived in a L’Arche community in Cork, Ireland where he helped conduct a theatre workshop for adults with intellectual disabilities. He studied playwriting at Fordham University and obtained an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Tübingen.
