About meI was born into a wonderful American family in Washington D.C., the third of three siblings, with two exceptional parents. As a girl, I was always into sports, and since I was little, I attended many fitness classes. I had a serene and happy adolescence, crowned by a beautiful love story.After 4 years of true love, just when I was about to get married, my boyfriend left me, and I began to experience my first panic attacks. The final blow came a few months later when my father passed away: since then, I fell into depression, completely stopped exercising, gained over 40 pounds, and hardly ever left the house because I felt ugly and afraid of being around people.I didn't want to be happy anymore, and I'm not ashamed to say that I had frequent suicidal thoughts. I owe it to my friends who slowly pushed me to come out of it; I owe it to them that I'm still here. I started practicing Pilates first, and in a few months, I managed to regain my former shape. Then I discovered Yoga and Somatic exercises, which were a turning point for me: I gradually regained confidence in myself, felt better, panic attacks decreased until they disappeared, and I healed from all the traumas I had carried for so long. Now, on the threshold of 40, after 15 years and more of practice and teaching, I have decided to help all the people who, like me, have suffered because we all deserve to be well! "Somatic Exercises for Beginners," my second book after "Wall Pilates Workouts for Women," is dedicated to all the women who, like me, have suffered.My MissionMy mission is to help women of all ages and fitness levels.
