Dabei handelt es sich um eine Absorptionsmessung bei 288 nm (maximales Methylphenidat) im Verhältnis von Ethanol und destilliertem Wasser (89:11). Für die UV-spektrophotometrische Methode wurde die Linearität in einem Konzentrationsbereich von 1-50 µg/ml für Methylphenidat und mit einem Regressionswert von 0,9998 erhalten.
Die Wiederherstellung lag im Bereich von 98-101 %. Die Standardabweichung und der % RSD lagen bei <2 %.
Es zeigte die hohe Präzision der Methode gemäß den ICH-Richtlinien. Die Methode wurde sukzessive auf pharmazeutische Wirkstoffe angewendet und gemäß ICH-Richtlinien validiert.
