About authorWriting stories has become an essential part of my life lately. For me books has always been magical escape from the real world. Writing gives me a similar escape, where I could disappear into the fictional world I create. I use my characters as my friends, where I move to different times and places to share their happiness or their misfortune. My characters are mostly ordinary people caught in extraordinary situations carried by power of love and determination. In addition to historical power, my stories contain mystery and secrets. Unfortunately, world is full of mysteries and secrets clashing with the beauty and perfection we all crave. Living through hardship, make us appreciate every little thing as special and every day as the most perfect. I hope that you, my readers, will enjoy escaping to the same world that I love to create. ReviewsThe clear, honest, descriptive language of this powerful novel keeps the reader glued to the pages till the very end. The complexity of WWII, courage, brave actions from the youngest generation of the war, hardships, being raised in poverty, fighting against the Nazi regime’s oppression, the partisan movement, an unexpected pregnancy. All the relationships between the characters are marvelously entangled, creating a multi-layered body of work whose technical balance is proved by the vivid descriptions. The attention to the psychological sides of the story and the remarkable use of the fast-paced dialogues and plot twists helps us emphasize with the protagonists Sofia, Kira, Niko, Mich, Savo and the many others. Struggle with them, fight with them, be angry and hopeless with them, and fully understand their complex personality in such dire situations, to the bittersweet ending, that we hope humanity won’t live again. This is a powerful story of resilience, the power of love and selfless sacrifice; a tale that I can only recommend to every reader, but I also envision this book to be turned into a screenplay, should it be a sale success.Ginevra Picani, Editor for Europe BooksRosa SperanzaHi Nada, I finished reading your book last night and I truly loved it .Congratulations you had me so involved with the characters and in my mind I visualised them all .Those days during the war were so intense, but the activists were very brave people. They should never be forgotten.
