Former Army JAG lawyer Preston Sterling rises from the ashes of his dramatic fall from grace. A year ago the Army forced him to stop dating his girlfriend SGT Brittany Blue, the attractive paralegal.

Not surprisingly, in a closely related matter, his wife filed for divorce and accused him of adultery. Both his wife his girlfriend testified against him a high profile adultery court-martial trial at Ft.

Knox, Kentucky. The Army Reserves discharged him from military service and stripped him of his commission as an officer.

Upon returning home, he lost his job as a civilian prosecutor. Just a year later, attorney Preston Sterling built a successful law practice he started in a humble strip mall outside of his hometown of Tacoma, Washington.

As business grew, he moved his law office downtown to attract a better class of clients. Most of his clients are generally good people.

His criminal practice focuses on representing military servicemen charged in military and civilian courts. Not content to earn a modest living through honest labor, Preston Sterling expands his law practice to include some simply unsavory clients.

He finds himself employed as corporate counsel for the Hilltop Crips (a notorious street gang) in Tacoma, WA. Sterling hatches a plan to help the Crips launder money by opening an art gallery in Tacoma.

He likes working for the gang. They pay in cash upfront and he never needs to send them an invoice for services.

He hides most of of his cash income from the IRS, hoping the government doesn't discover his tax fraud. Sterling finds himself able to attain the material possessions he craved.

His fully restored G-Wagon and his new home on a hill provide him with the validation he needs to satisfy his ego. His legitimate legal work zealously representing an innocent client earned him national recognition and acclaim as a defender of individual liberty.

His lesser known status as lawyer for the street gang lands him in the cross-hairs of a dangerous and desperate gang client. But Sterling is resourceful and hard to kill.

Success comes at a price for Preston Sterling. He finds himself on the verge of falling into the abyss of rampant narcissism and runaway arrogance.

Then he falls in love with Taylor Jane. She is a young, beautiful Army JAG lawyer who makes Sterling want to be a better man.
