This is the story of En, an Omanu and a young hero to be, who must answer his lineage’s call to a responsibility greater than any he has ever held before it. En must decide whether he will contend in and with the real world outside of his known and comfortable village.

Ultimately, the question beckons, will he perish or will he prevail in his bout with Suffering itself?The realm of Oma is one of seven that hosts mortal and intelligent life. Each is a part of Creation from the Grand Origin, molded and shaped by the Supreme God: Yalum, his Right Hand and his Sacred Essence.

Oma, although the last to be formed, is not to be deemed inconsequential to the glorious scheme of Yalum. Within this realm are two races, and they are distant cousins to one another, known as the Omani and the Ta Mas.

The Omani share a great affinity with nature and more distinctly, the botanical world. They are endowed by the Mother Tree with a particular source of power called Oom, giving to them a way to manipulate the natural forces of existence and tasking them with the maintenance of the order of nature.

On the other hand, the Ta Mas are more akin to mammals, they inheriting a diverse branch of abilities through genetic mutations, arming them from birth and making of them fierce warriors, as is expected of them by their culture. The prime virtue of the prior is enlightenment, and of the latter is strength.

The Book of Suffering, taking place in the Age of Second Suffering, is the first in a series of four which will detail the significance and trials of these feuding and estranged beings, and will provide a look into a reawakening within them of a remembrance of their Creator, and of the purpose of his design. However, before this, these amnesiacs must come face to face with he who shall remind them, be it by force and through a great suffering, or by a humble willingness to admit that both of their suspected understandings of the Truth may have been gravely misled.
