April’s introduction to the world of creative writing dates back to the first Young Authors Conference she earned a seat at when she was in 4th grade, with her story, The Girl and the Toad. To publish her first children’s book (a girl never reveals her age) years later, is truly a dream come true. April was raised an Air Force Brat, which was a privilege that enabled her to travel around the world during her teenage years, sparking her love of finding adventure in new places. She hopes to inspire other children, including her own to find beauty and adventure in the world around them, near and far.April is an animal lover through and through and has had dogs and cats in her home her whole life. Frankie took over April’s heart and became her true spirit pup as a goofy floofy puppy in 2021. They’ve been inseparable since.Traveling Tails of Frankie Goldie is a blending of April’s love of writing, love of her Frankie Goldie Girl, and love of travel and discovery, into fantastical adventures. April hopes that perhaps Frankie inspires a sense of wonder and adventure for many other kids and families. Seattle is Frankie’s first stop, but there’s no limit to where she may go next!April lives in beautiful Southern Oregon, with her dreamy hubby, two incredible teenage kids, and a houseful of furry family members.
