Meg is one of those authors who will say that she never dreamed of becoming a professional writer. She received a scholarship from the American Cancer Society in High school for an article she wrote on her struggle with brain cancer and she always knew that her passion was writing, but she didn't pursue it as a career until after raising her family. She studied at Ohio University for a few years, focusing on English, but it wasn't until many years later that she started her first novel. She became a stay-at-home mom and studied at other academic institutions, writing a few other short stories, but the idea for her first novel came when her husband kept her up in the night from his snoring and she couldn't sleep. That's how she started The Slayer. Several drafts later, she had a full-length novel. After working as an Independent author for several years, she signed on with Static Pen Publishing who have signed The Slayer. She is married to her high-school sweetheart, surviving the up and down weather of rural Ohio together with their four children. She absolutely adores being a writer and wouldn't dream of any other life (except mom life, of course!). But don't ask her where she gets the ideas for her books, because her answer will always be that she has no idea and she truly doesn't.
