Joe Tadros lives in Southern California with his wife and three wonderful kids. Joe studied the impact of literacy on democracies during his undergraduate work at Yale University, but now works in corporate compliance helping companies do the right thing and conduct business ethically. Having spent many years as a litigator, Joe came to appreciate the power and nuance of the English language. As a parent (and as a son of immigrants), he is intimately familiar with the importance of teaching language and literacy to children as well as the many challenges involved.When his middle child was about 3½ years old, Joe started creating lists of short, rhyming words to introduce the concept of reading to him…and it worked! Tyler began reading words on his own and has since become a great little reader, reading chapters books in kindergarten. About three years later, Joe started creating whimsical, short stories using the words from those word lists to make the learning process more fun and engaging when it came time to teach his daughter to read.
