I began as a federal drug prosecutor in Los Angeles and served as the Director of the Office of Counternarcotics Enforcement at the Department of Homeland Security, the Acting Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Director of INTERPOL Washington. With drug overdose deaths at record levels, it has become undeniably evident that change is imperative.
