Author Name
K. Ray Katz (Author)
Mr. Katz lives in Tucson, AZ when not travelling the country in his motor home. He has now completed his twelfth novel, "The Third Danger" which was released in March 2024. It is the eight in his South Pacific - Clyde and Neville - W.W. II series and follows two humorous off-beat English Coast Watchers as they wage war in their own unorthodox way. Previous to this novel were "Call to Duty," plus "Decision Borneo" and "North of the Line" for which the author won an editing grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The first title in this series of six Clyde and Neville humorous adventure novels is, "The Coast Watchers.” His very first novel, "Down Under" is a prequel to Clyde and Neville. It follows a submarine commander and an an Australian rancher at the beginning of W.W. II.Mr. Katz has also written “Chukotka,” an adventure story based in the Russian Far East drawing on the Russian financial tragedy of the 1990’s. The same characters flow into “My Enemy’s Enemy” where they get involved in a terrorist attack on the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and a sham war started by China to cover the theft of oil from Tajikistan. Before starting his writing career, Mr. Katz had an interesting journey from being a NY Stage Manager, to a Special Agent for Army Counterintelligence and several other occupations. Besides his novels, he has also written a number of short stories, two of which were in judged competitions and included in the Writer’s Bloc III and IV anthologies produced by the Henderson Writer’s Group, of which he is a member. These stories involve international politics, “In the Name of Peace” and women deciding to overthrow the male dominated society and government of Iran, “When the Women Started Talking.”As a Counter-Intelligence Special Agent for the U.S. government for seven years, Mr. Katz traveled extensively conducting classified investigations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia and wrote detailed security analyses for both the Executive and Legislative Branches of government. Later, as a medical services professional, he wrote numerous articles that were published in all four of his profession’s national trade journals.Soon after finishing High School in Baltimore, and while attending school in New York, Mr. Katz became the Sound Technician for an Off-Broadway show "USA." A year later, when the show closed, he was offered the position of Assistant Stage Manager, and later, Stage Manager, of the Kaufmann Concert Hall where he worked with such notables as Joan Baez, Eli Wallach and Robert Frost before enlisting in the Army, (just ahead of the draft.)In response to a request from his family he recently wrote an autobiography (Twists and Turns, available on Amazon and Kindle) detailing his various careers. From mail clerk, to off-Broadway technician to Concert Hall Stage manager. From counter-intelligence special agent, to wholesale bakery distribution manager to Hearing Instrument Specialist owning a group of audiology and hearing aid offices in Tucson, AZ. An implausible career that now includes encompasses fiction writer.Read more about this authorRead less about this author

A lighthearted adventure takes you through Europe and the middle east soon after the end of the Second World War. Follow Clyde & Neville, a pair o Englishmen unlikely to challenge Einstein or any other college graduate's I.

Q. , as they bumble through one mishap after another encountering Mafia gunmen, KGB agents, and marauding Arab tribesmen, among just a few of their encounters.

Explore some of the activities in British occupied Palestine prior to the establishment of Israel, and let's not forget about Egypt, Jordan, and the "garden spot" of the Red Sea, Eritrea. Only Clyde & Neville and their new-found loves, Clara and Sarah, who happen to work for British Intelligence can get in so much trouble without really trying, although they are always open to stopping whenever they can for a fresh mug, or five, of beer.
