Born in the heartwarming yet challenging landscapes of Guatemala, I embarked on a journey that defied the norms of a place where dreaming felt like a sin. As a young preacher at age 7 and an elementary school teacher by 17, I embraced the complexities of faith and education early in life. My career transitioned from executive sales in Banco Agromercantil de Guatemala to an entrepreneur bringing the first internet wave to my community. However, the true calling came with "Milagros para tu Vida," a non-profit aimed at nurturing faith, where I confronted the hardest truth – being gay in a world unready for such revelations. This struggle led me to the United States, a rebirth from my culture, family, and church. Mastering English in just six months, I now stand as a proud Spanish teacher and a student at Temple University of Philadelphia, pursuing education in world languages. My writing, a tapestry of no-fiction, self-help, LGBTQ themes, and religion criticism, is a rebellion against the chains of conventionalism. My songs, one etched in the hearts of my alma mater in Montessori College in Esquipulas, Chiquimula, Guatemala, resonate with a desire for change. My philosophy is simple yet profound: break down the barriers of hate and misunderstanding surrounding the LGBTQ community, especially within conservative and religious circles. I write not just for the LGBTQ and Latino communities, but for anyone aged 16 and up, who's been shackled by societal norms. As an artist who loves to teach, paint, write and savor wine, my life is a canvas of varied hues. Through my words, I want you to feel my pain, my triumphs, and the unyielding spirit that defines me. If my story makes you say, "Fuck, I relate to him," then I've succeeded. I am a voice for love, acceptance, and the relentless pursuit of dreams, no matter where you come from.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
