Organizing your entire past into small, coherent paragraphs is always a challenge. So, I asked a dear friend (Thank you, Ceciley!) to write this humble biography for me instead: In the 1990s, Karyn became a mother, professional dance instructor, performer, and nationally certified yoga teacher. 1995, she graduated from Goddard College with a bachelor’s degree in health and nutrition. In 1997, she graduated from The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico while simultaneously graduating from Universal Massage Therapeutics of New Mexico. In 1998, after healing from several genetic auto-immune diseases, she was the first to offer professional massage therapy and Ayurvedic health counseling in Newport, RI. In 1999, she invented Sacred Stone Massage Therapy while renting a house on a gorgeous stone beach in RI. She certified over 3,000 Sacred Stone Therapists over the next ten years, awarding continuing education credits from the NCBTMB and NAMA. The RIOPC approved her Sacred Stone School and Center in 2012. In 2003, she became a National Ayurvedic Medical Association member and achieved the Practitioner level. Fox TV interviewed her and aired Sacred Stone Therapy on their Living Better channel in 2004. She published many articles in peer-reviewed trade journals while Sacred Stone Therapy was featured on the cover of the American Massage Therapy Association Magazine in October 2003 and March 2005.While she trained the staff at many international and national spas and schools during her forties, she also presented at leading industry conferences like the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and the American Massage Therapy Association. She produced eight comprehensive professional instructional DVDs on the art of stone medicine, massage, and Ayurvedic spa therapies. She wrote over twenty illustrated instructional books and nineteen online continuing education courses approved by the NCBTMB for massage therapists and Ayurvedic Practitioners. By 1999, she trained as one of the first Ayur*Yoga Instructors from the Ayurvedic Institute and Ayurveda-Yoga Institute of NYC. She was approved for the first Yoga Alliance Schools in RI in 2013 while earning certifications in Reiki, Quantum Touch, Fitness Training, Nutrition, Shamanism, Spirit Rescue Mediumship, Bodytalk Systems Level 3, Marma Point Therapy, Pancha Karma Therapies, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Chinese Cupping, Yuen Method, Medical Thai Therapy; Ayurvedic Aesthetics and Colon Hydrotherapy. In 2002, she embarked on an 8-year astrology study quest, earning her certification in Ancient Ayurvedic Astrology with Gandharva Sauls. She became an adjunct faculty professor at Bristol Community College in 2003 and began studying the 52 Star Code System under Robert Lee Camp. In 2007, she studied at the master's level at Maharishi University in Vedic Science and was initiated as a Sidha in the Transcendental Meditation lineage. In 2008, she met Thomas Morrell in Iowa, author of The Ancient Book of Time, deepening her card studies. She continued studying Vedic astrology with David Hawthorne in Iowa and at the Arsha Vidya Ashram in PA. In 2011, she earned a master’s in writing and Ayurvedic medicine from Goddard College, inspiring her to open an Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program as part of Sacred Stone School. 2012, she founded RI's first private, state-approved, proprietary Ayurvedic massage therapy school. By 2018, after immersing herself in the science of the stars for so long, Karyn’s intuition heightened, and she began channeling primordial Star Code formulas. As a result, Karyn started teaching Vedic astrology and the 52 Star Code System and continues to write books, counsel, and teach to share her knowledge. She is a monthly astrology blogger for three local magazines and plans to launch the Star Code School online by the end of 2024.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
