Chad grew up in a small rural community in East Tennessee. His passion for writing started at a very young age, and he even wrote his first novel in high school, however, it was never published. He dabbles in poetry writing, and has written dramatic books, along with murder mysteries too. He now lives in Knoxville with his husband, Bryon, in a tiny little house that was built in the 1950s. And this fits his personality quite well, as he has an old soul. A junior college drop out, he went back to school in his late thirties to earn a BA in Psychology. He has worked for the same company since 2004, a leading receivables management company, where he is a supervisor. In his spare time, he loves to go to rummage, estate, and garage sales; he has a fascination with anything 1950s, but thinks that the 1980s had been the best decade to live in.
