The Scriptures begins with God creative ingenuity. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Gen.
1:1). And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being (Gen.
2:7). Out of the ground the Lord God formed every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them.
And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name (Gen. 2:19).
And the Lord God caused a deep a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man (Gen.
2:21-22). Apart from explaining the origin of man; it equally explains the destination of human flesh thus “.
. until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return” (Gen.
3:19). It is a well-known fact, that immediately, man dies, he begins to decay forming sand (dust).
Charles Darwin’s classic that exploded into public controversy that revolutionized the course of science appears to be a myth; an attempt to distort biblical view on creationDarwin’s theory states that species derive from species by a gradual evolutionary process and that the average level of each species is heightened by the “Survival of the Fittest” stirred up popular debate to high heaven, polarizing people into two categories. On one side are Christians hold on to the concept of Creation while the other populated by free thinkers, atheists and scientists hold firmly to Darwin’s theory.
Over two thousand years has elapsed but man has not evolved into another being! Equally controversial was the concept of Trinity. While Christians believe in Triune God (Trinity), adherents of other faith do not subscribe to it.
Although Trinity is not expressly stated in the Bible but sufficiently implied. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Gen.
1:26). “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language.
” (Gen. 11:7).
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19).
Another controversial theme is Resurrection. The Scriptures affirms that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead after three days.
He is not here; He has risen! (Lk. 24:6-7).
“…through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Pet. 1:3).
The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again (Lk. 24:6-7).
The book, QUARTET: CREATION, EVOLUTION, BLESSED TRINITY AND RESURRECTION has tried to douse controversial themes running through the mind of man using the Word of God. The Divinity of Christ is settled in the Scriptures, no controversy.
In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
