Eddie Myers earned his Master's of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor's of Arts in English from Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and did further study at the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa. He earned his Associate of Arts in English from S. D. Bishop State Community College in Mobile, Alabama. Professor Myers served as an adjunct and tenured English Instructor at James H. Faulkner State Community College (now Coastal Alabama Community College in Fairhope, Alabama) in Bay Minette, Alabama, for twenty years. He retired in 2017 due to complications from a stroke. He authored a poetry collection titled Private Thoughts in 2006.
