Tammy Mowrey is a professional artist that discovered her God giving gift and talent at the early age of 9 years old. She considers herself a self-taught artist with only high school as the highest accomplishment of art education and skills. Tammy has been awarded numerous places in art contest and shows. Along with these accomplishments, she has also illustrated a book cover for another author. Tammy was born in San Diego, California, but has spent the most part of her life living in the state of Florida. Her unconditional love for children has given her many opportunities in life to share and mentor them in art through her inspiring teaching. She has worked as an art instructor, a paraprofessional for children of special needs and children with learning disabilities. Tammy is not only known by others for her creativity, but her childlike imagination and sense of humor as well. It has been a lifelong dream of hers to write and illustrate children’s books. She has now illustrated and written six books. She has plans for many more to be written and illustrated in the near future. Of all the types of artwork forms, Tammy’s favorite is animation.
