It all started with a thought based on Revelation 13 in the Bible discussing the Mark of the Beast. The title, The Number of Man, was impressed on me years ago when stores began the transition to the scanning system. I remember saying to a co-worker at that time, "The day will come when they will put the chip in your hands and/or in forehead for transactions as described in the book of Revelation 13 in the Bible and just scan us." He laughed at me back then. Who's laughing now?But that was just a part of what brought my novel to its fulness. The added touch of cloning that entered into it came upon reading about Dolly, the first cloned Sheep. Back then this was the talk of the day. Today, it seems it's common place with all sorts of genetic alterations. But in humans? I say most likely yes. Genetics, AI and technology are cutting edge issues we face today. But is it really for the betterment of humanity? Or is a trap to enslave us as God says in the only book that really matters. Consider our world today and ponder this as you following Natalie Combs in this unique story and where it leads her.​Linda Kennedy was born one of five children to missionaries in Nigeria, West Africa. She has enjoyed writing poetry and songs since an early age. The idea for this book came to her over 20 years ago. However, it wasn’t until becoming disabled after two failed back surgeries, that she sat down and wrote the first rough draft of book one in this Number of Man series.
