I was born in Portsmouth, England in 1957. I'm married and have three children in the U.K. and two stepchildren in the U.S. The son of hard-working parents, I lived through the 1970s, exposed to the culture of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. After my first marriage failed, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, to marry my now-current wife Linda and settled down with a job in software engineering. After many happy years, corporate life took its toll, and I retired in 2019. For much of my life, alcohol was there to numb the daily grind, and after suffering major grief, it eventually led me to become an alcoholic. During rehabilitation, the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, together with my understanding of Quantum Mechanics, helped me gain a new spirituality, find happiness in sobriety, and have newfound feelings about his life, death, and the meaning of the Universe.I now lead a happily married life, walking my dogs, doing service and volunteer work, attending A.A. meetings, and learning more about quantum mechanics, meditation, mindfulness, spirituality, and philosophy.  I now find myself interested in many topics and stay very busy researching and writing about my findings to share with others. I am taking writing classes and getting feedback on my abilities to continue improving.The New Dream is my first book on my experiences of becoming a happy human being. I've just published volume one of Prayers and Meditations for the Atheist and Agnostic, and I am working on more books, one a novel incorporating Quantum Mechanics and the future of our Universe.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
