The Mystic Maraudersis a team of seasoned explorers, experts at questing through ancient ruins, avoiding deadly traps, battling fearsome monsters and solving riddles. At least they are on paper. (Almost) thirteen year old Mia Jones and her three best friends Tyrone Green, Li Chen and Carlos Mendoza have been playing Mages and Champions for as long as they can remember.

But when their parents are forced to cancel their summer vacation plans due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the friends decide to go out for the day to act out their latest campaign. While heading out for their adventure they discover that their school building is strangely open when everything else in the city is closed.

Sensing that something is amiss, they decide to sneak inside. What they discover is a secret door in the building’s basement.

Stepping through that door leads to a series of events which sweep them up in a real life adventure more fantastic than anything they ever imagined in their gaming. .
