In the year 2000 Mike Paull retired from the practice of dentistry in the San Francisco Bay Area and began honing his skills as a writer. Between 2010 and 2015 he self-published, Tales from the Sky Kitchen Café, a book of aviation-based short stories and Flight of Betrayal, Flight of Deception and Flight of no Return, a three-volume mystery series. In 2021 Mike partnered with Wings ePress, an independent U.S. publisher. Over the next three years they released his new spy thriller series: Missing, She’s Missing and Missing in the Maldives. Mike’s latest novel, The Mouth Mechanic, is scheduled for release in 2024. It’s a forensic crime mystery, where he calls on his dental background to create the character of Rick Rose, a young dentist who, after losing his license, ends up identifying dead bodies in the San Francisco morgue. His first John Doe leads him on a wild ride through the sordid world of murder and espionage, where he digs himself a hole which is difficult to climb out of.
