I'm Maymunah Qasir, a 13 year old author of 'The Last Princess.'From a young age, I discovered the power of words and their ability to convey emotions, thoughts and dreams. Through my writing I have won numerous writing competitions and several entries published in books. It was this love for writing that led me to pen my first book, ‘The Last Princess.’ This book is not just a story; it's a reflection of my own experiences and the world I hope to see. One pivotal moment that inspired ‘The Last Princess’ happened on a world book day. I longed to dress up as Princess Anna, but my headwear made me feel different and out of place. This experience shattered my confidence as a child but also served as a catalyst for my journey in challenging stereotypes. ‘The Last Princess’ transcends being a mere book. It’s a call to celebrate our differences, embrace our culture and construct our bridges of understanding.
