I write poetry and nonfiction, with a special interest in world history. The Labyrinth We Walked is my first published book, and most of the essays in the book previously appeared in slightly altered form in The Montreal Review. I am also a Boston-area attorney specializing in securities and insurance law. In recent years, I have served as an officer and board member of several nonprofits: the Brookline Community Mental Health Center in Brookline, Massachusetts; Graywolf Press of Minneapolis; and MassPoetry, sponsor of the Massachusetts Poetry Festival and other poetry education events in the Commonwealth.
