In the exciting and nerve wrenching conclusion to When Dreams Come to Pass Grisbain has to decide if he can afford to try to save Anathia as well as go up against Micklemond. The leader of the Waryrenn finally thinks he has the young wizard where he wants him, forcing him to face the Waryrenn in a confrontation which only one of them is going to survive.

The Power Wielders know they have to make a decision about Micklemond but should they go up against their own leader or wait to see if the young wizard can do their dirty work for them? The boy may have kept out of their leader’s clutches so far but now he has the young wizard’s woman will he gamble everything and try to save her? The future of two races hangs in the balance. Meantime the infection unleashed on the land by the demon possessing Micklemond is spreading and developing.

The Power Wielders find it seems to have a mind of its own. The Waryrenn are worried the infection could contaminate the food supply they will need to get them through the winter and for the first time there are concerns the infection may be able to spread to Waryrenn or human’s.
