Author Name
Mr Joe Ira O'Hara-Childs BA (Author)
Born as a baby (?!) in Essex, the East of England, in 1991, Joe O'Hara-Childs was son of Irish Woman Eileen and (in most part) Anglo-Saxon father Chris. An aptitude for wordplay, emerged in his mid-late Teens, and only developed, perhaps in the shadows, as time went on. Writing his first poem, in an English class, at the age of 16, and then taking that aptitude and asserting it in private as a budding wordsmith - Joe learnt his trade off the back of greats such as Blake and Wordsworth.Raised in the South West of England, but born as aforementioned in the East, Joe felt like an outsider but also at home, in the leafy confines of the Suburb. His ability at wordplay took a backseat as he attended university at the Uni of the North (Cumbria campus) and roamed the Wilds of Manchester, etc.It was evident, that although academic studies, and a different style of writing, dictated flexibility In the pursuit of success, in the academic context, Joe's natural aptitude for worldliness could not stay in the shadow for long.Anyway, now he has his first book of poems out, on Amazon, and his first (tentative) attempt at a novel, fusing his skills of wordplay and narrative strength, out.Regard, here, and enjoy.Read more about this authorRead less about this author

A short novel of ideas concerning the normal-shape of man today, the way that norms, convention and tradition have shaped man and continue to shape him, and where that leads. Grant is in pursuit of Tessa Hartley - the most eligible woman in his life-world.

She is the woman of his dreams, and in his dreams, and in his dreams particular the only goal is to chase, acquire and maintain. It has been long road for Grant, and he is joined by Soothsay Brandelback, Bad Jon Diamond, his mate Dellus Grange and the incorrigible/recalcitrant Rafique Shaughnessy.

He is antagonised by Lord Ricka Bockly, his liege and vassal Red Don, and the eponymous border-guards and sentinels of Felltown - the public court of opinion that holds sway over who stays, and who's lost to the Void. ,.
