John’s career spans over thirty years during which he has worked in nearly every aspect of filmmaking, including cinematography, visual effects, writing, producing and directing. He won an Emmy Award in 1995 for his work on Star Trek: Voyager, and has supervised or produced visual effects on such wide ranging projects as Hunger Games, Oceans 8 and Iron Man. As a filmmaker, John has a passion for story and character, and enjoys examining the deeper side of the human psyche in his films. John is currently developing feature and episodic content under his Bigfoot Robot banner.Since he was young, John was always eager to try new things. He started his driving, beyond a tractor, on a go-kart, learning to drift on gravel roads. He was an officer of the Sheriff's Search & Rescue team in high school, and was briefly a member of the Junior Olympic Fencing Team. His passion for driving continued after college when someone suggested he go to racing school, something he had no idea existed at the time. John has harbored a strong sense of adventure, and a love of a good challenge, his entire life.
