Dave Edwards is a drummer, builder, designer, maker of things, martial artist, father, husband, song writer, and brewer. He has followed many paths of interest while raising his family, rebuilding an old farmhouse, performing with his band, seeing to the needs of the family’s summer camp and stable business while running a construction business in rural Michigan.Born and raised in rural Indiana, and moving to Michigan when he was nine, Dave accepted the gift of knowledge from both parents, becoming skilled with his hands, working in the family business of summer camps, and learning how to manage a small business. His mother’s passion to become a writer intrigued him and he tried to support her dream, but it wasn’t until recently that his venture into writing was more than a short story or letter writing. He became fully engaged in putting together his father’s story, realizing that the stories we tell our children are perhaps not the only ones we should share. Description
Eddy Edwards is a life guard-He fights to save livesA pacifist at heart, Eddy has a habit of fighting for what he believes is right—no matter the cost. When he protests a teacher’s unfair grading practice, the fallout forces him to change Eddy Edwards is a lifeguard.

He fights to save lives. schools from a suburb of Chicago to an experimental co-operative farm in rural Michigan.

When the draft board comes calling in 1944, Eddy once again stands up for what he believes. He embarks on a quest to become and remain a Conscientious Objector.

He travels across the United States, always looking over his shoulder as the draft board chases him through two wars in an effort to force him to bear arms. Following his conscience, Eddy serves in the Civilian Public Service and the U.

S. Forest Service, building camps and community, searching for a better way to serve his country while remaining true to himself and his beliefs.
