Melissa Delport is an award-winning, multi-genre author, part-time copywriter, and lover of all things bookish. She also runs The Secret Book Club on Facebook - an avid online book club with over 5k members and is an advanced reviewer for PRH SA. For ten years Melissa owned and operated her own specialized logistics company until she woke up one morning and decided that it was time to put her English degree to good use. She released her first book in 2013. In 2014 she was offered a publishing contract for The Legacy series and her hobby became a career. While she does not miss the corporate world, Melissa does sometimes miss the novelty of being taken seriously, which is why she likes to fit in corporate copywriting between books. She currently resides in Hillcrest, under a perpetual cover of cloud and rain. Melissa lives with her husband and three teenagers, none of whom take her seriously.
