Born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in South Florida, Miguel served honorably in the United States Navy for over twenty years as an intelligence specialist. His love of Science Fiction, impressed upon him by his late father’s love of Star Trek, paved the way for a path of immersion in the genre. It was his wife Stephanie who encouraged him to explore his own imagination and bring forth a universe that he could share with others. His service to the world’s finest Navy, which included combat deployments against terrorism, piracy, ensuring freedom of navigation, and in support of special operations, his understanding as a graduate degree holder in History of the influence that history plays on the future, along with his passion of the science fiction world and its unlimited potential, have all contributed to the first of a series of novels centered around the life of a young man whose military upbringing prepares him to face the dangers of the interstellar void.
