I've been writing and creating stories for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, words were my favorite playmates and my first love. This relationship led me to a 30-year career as a high school English, Creative Writing, and Speech/Debate teacher, and my students became my muses. They often show up in my stories, with their permission, of course! In the past two years, I have rededicated myself to writing as a craft and a career, and have decided to follow my lifelong dream of being a professional novelist.My fascination with the mysterious and unknown has been ever-present. My earliest memories of reading included books about the Loch Ness Monster and other cryptids, the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Greece, and fantastical stories of magic and the paranormal. As an English teacher, you might think that I'd be drawn to "serious" literature when reading and writing, but in both pursuits, I lean toward fun "escape fiction" most of the time.
