New author, Kelly Varnado-Knox, is native to New Orleans, Louisiana. She currently resides in Slidell, Louisiana with her husband and three little girls. Kelly's creative journey started at the age of 12 after taking a creative thinking assessment earning her a spot in the summer program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly University of Southwestern Louisiana). Kelly's love for God and family, and her desire to share her gift with the world lead her to write her very first book, Do The Bugs Know God?Kelly is a 2001 graduate of Ursuline Academy. In 2005, just prior to Hurricane Katrina, Kelly graduated from Dillard University with a BS in Health Sciences. During her time at Dillard University, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In 2010, Kelly graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Kelly now works as a licensed occupational therapist, and has practiced in both Texas and Louisiana.
