Julian had a career spanning 26 years as a motorcycle development test rider for Triumph and Royal Enfield motorcycle companies. He has been an occasional writer & photographer, contributing articles & features to the motorcycle press internationally. He has ridden more than one million miles on motorcycles & adventured through 30 different countries on two wheels to date. Julian retired from test riding in 2021 to concentrate on his work as a clinical hypnotherapist, the training of which he had completed at the British School of Applied Psychology in 2016. He is established as one of the leading figures in the promotion of clinical hypnotherapy in the UK, having appeared multiple times on BBC Radio and regularly presenting talks on the subjects of hypnosis, hypnotherapy and the power of the mind.Along with his partner, Sue, he owns and runs an animal sanctuary in Warwickshire called, The Rescue Ranch. He is also a trained actor & has appeared in minor roles in several TV Series and films, & has been a musician all his life, playing & touring both in his own bands & as a solo singer-songwriter.
