Kimberly Gerry Tucker is proudly neurodivergent (ASD, selective mutism). She was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Connecticut where she still resides with her husband, two sons, and cats. Her day job is in tech. She has years of experience finding bugs in software, and in Accessibility (checking if sites and apps meet WCAG guidelines which ensures users with disabilities have the same experience as those without disabilities.) Her current role is as a data analyst.Kim, widowed in 2005, has been a freelance writer, author, and artist since 1999. Her artwork, poetry, short fiction, and nonfiction stories have appeared in such publications as Hearing Health, Kaleidoscope, The Art of Autism book series (edited by Debra Hosseini Muzikar), Planet Vermont Quarterly, March Street Press, and in several anthologies including Women From Another Planet (edited by Jean Kearnes Miller), Been There, Done That, Try This! (Tony Attwood, Craig R. Evans, Anita Lesko), Firsts: Coming of Age Stories by People with Disabilities (award-winning book by Belo Cipriani), and Selective Mutism In Our Own Words (Sutton & Forrester - Kim is very proud of this one). Kim designed the cover for Samantha Craft's second printing of Everyday Aspergers,and also for the selective mutism book mentioned above. In 2006, Kim ghostwrote the book Reborn Through Fire (the true story of miracle man burn survivor Tony Yarijanian - look for her credit on the back cover). In 2007, Kim served for several years on the board of directors with The Art of Autism. She was interviewed for her appearance in Keri Bower's docu-film ARTS and for Keri's future docu-film Desire, which has an as yet unannounced release date. Kim's memoir Under The Banana Moon (living loving loss and aspergers) with Foreword by international bestselling author Donna Williams, has received top reviews. Kim continues to paint, collage, and show her work annually with AANE, Lesley College, and Lee Mass.'s Good Purpose Gallery, to name a few. She has written many blogs for The Art of Autism and writes in a blog of her own, RavenAmbition. Kim is presently working on three different books, including poetry. Her latest book is a departure from nonfiction and is called Tell Her The Devil Says Hello, which is in the horror genre.
