Larry's best known novel, "Campaign 2100: Game of Scorpions," came out in 2016, from World Weaver Press. It covers the election for president of Earth in the year 2100, when the world has adopted the American two-party electoral system, with an incredulous alien ambassador along for the ride, and features a third-party moderate challenge that pits father against daughter. (One of the main characters is a professional table tennis player.) USA Table Tennis Hall of Famer and Science Fiction & Fantasy Writer Larry Hodges has spent most of the past 30 years coaching at the Maryland Table Tennis Center in Gaithersburg, MD and writing SF stories and novels. He has worked with many of the best players in the country, both in Maryland and as manager and later a director and coach at the Olympic Training Center from 1985-1990. For many years he coached the U.S. National Junior Team at major tournaments in the U.S. and around the world. In 2018, USA Table Tennis awarded him the Lifetime Achievement Award. He is author of over 2000 published articles in over 170 different publications, including over 1700 on table tennis, in addition to over 1800 blog entries.
