142, denominazione quasi sempre abbreviata in StuG III, fu un formidabile cannone d’assalto in dotazione all’esercito tedesco durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, ricavato dallo scafo del carro armato medio Panzer III del quale mutuò per intero il treno di rotolamento, cingoli ecc.
