Karenlie Riddering was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. She has a B.A. in Fine Arts and a M.S. in Information Design and Communication. Riddering is a creative storyteller who works on multiple mediums including books, photography, art, music, and film. Her first book, "Puerto Rico: encanto oculto," published in 2005, was a best-seller in the island that same year. It was a book of her photographs of the least known places in PR, and the product of over eight years exploring the island. In 2012, Riddering published her second book, this time a non-fiction self-help book for teens titled "Your Present Future: Things Teens Need to Know Now About Becoming Adults." Riddering produced, directed and hosted the feature-length documentary: "Insider's Guide to Puerto Rico." A continuation of her photographic work in her first book, the film follows Karenlie and multiple guides across Puerto Rico, highlighting the best and least documented destinations in the island (available on Prime).She started the book series "Luna Merina and the Shiny Club" (two books in an ongoing series) in 2017. In 2020, she published two additional books, "Desfile de palabras y otros poemas" and "Re3: Reconsider. Refocus. Remember," a guided journal available in both English and Spanish. Riddering also produces short documentaries about women who have overcome obstacles in life, including "Beyoutiful," a short documentary on emotional bullying and the true story of Sylvia Aponte (available on Prime), and "Atravesando el valle," a story about healing faith through stage four Hodgkins lymphoma. As an actress, she has worked on projects with Matthew Weiner, Amy Poehler, Tyler Perry, and Gabrielle Union, appearing in films and TV series like "The Walking Dead," "Being Mary Jane," and "Are You Here" among other projects, including dozens of commercials and industrial videos.
