ABOUT THE AUTHORCarolyn Jean Davis, a speaker, author, and life Christian coach, is the founder and CEO of Excited Free Living, LLC. This company serves people who seek to become unchained from the bondage of pain and walk closer to God. She knows firsthand what it’s like to be captive to pain. She was often rejected and unloved by some who were supposed to love her while growing up. To gain their love and approval, she became a classic “people-pleaser. This approach to life never gave her the acceptance she thought she needed. Instead, it seemed to deepen the pain and perceived need. Now, she can say she is finally free, thanks to God’s loving deliverance. He taught her to turn from her quest to please others toward a free and exciting life in Him. Mrs. Davis helps people break their chains of pain one link at a time. She is also a certified biblical counselor, and the Executive Director and Co-founder of JC is the Way Ministries, Inc., where she has 21 years of biblical counseling and ministers to hurting individuals from various family structures. Some of her accomplishments include:-Honorary Doctor of Theology degree from the Chicago Baptist Institute bible college-Part of the faculty of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and the Chicago Baptist Institute, a bible college-Christian education dean and instructor under the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.-Certified biblical counselor for 21 years and member of (ACBC) the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors-Christian educator for 26 years-Teacher at Christian education leadership schools on the local, district, state, and national levels-Sunday school teacher of adult women at her church (Olivet Baptist Church)-Frequent speaker at Christian conferences and women’s retreatsToday, she lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband of 40 years.
