I was born and raised in Chicago,Illinois. At an early age, I realized that my family was struggling financially, so I pitched in and began to deliver newspapers to help out. I delivered newspapers after school in the tough south side and west side neighborhoods of Chicago and collecting the bills due on the weekends. After being beat and robbed one rainy afternoon, I looked up to heaven and through tears prayed to God to ease myfears. To this day, I will never forget the reassuring answer from above that God would never leave me and would always be by my side. My lifes journey has included joining the United States Marine Corps and serving four years during the Viet Nam era, marriage and helping raise five children, half the time as a single parent, teaching youth Sunday school for several years, while spending 33 plus years in the building trades.
