Joseph was born on Long Island, New York. His parents divorced when he was two years old and for the first twelve years of his life he was an only child. He spent much of his childhood imagining what it would be like to have a family of his own one day, and what type of husband and father he wanted to be. Joseph served his country as a Chaplain’s Assistant, listening to the struggles of his comrades and providing comfort where possible. It was during his time in Iraq where Joseph would undergo the greatest emotional battle of his life. It was also in Iraq, where Joseph learned to draw close to Jesus, and hold fast during the storm. Over the years Joseph has been blessed with a daughter and son who are the joy of his life. They have been the motivation in his despair to keep moving forward when all hope seemed lost. It wasn’t enough to just survive the storms however. As Joseph discovered during his time as a Chaplain’s Assistant it was helping his fellow man that gave him hope for the future.
