Terry was born in England. He studied photography at Leicester College of Art and Design and worked as a photographer for some years before changing his career direction to marketing. He was appointed International Marketing Director for Olivetti based at their head office in Ivrea, Northern Italy. He left Italy to work for Diebold in Paris and finally moved permanently with his Swedish wife to his summer house in Skillinge, Southern Sweden. He wrote a marketing text book for Gower Publishing, “How to Measure and Manage Your Corporate Reputation”, which was translated into Japanese and Spanish. He decided to leave marketing behind him and trained to be a nurse in an old people's home.When he retired, he began to write novels in English tailored to non-native-speaking readers. The Skillinge series was published between 2019 and 2024 and comprises four novels:Old Violins, Amnesia, Foggy Monday, and Retribution. The series traces the misadventures of John Simson, a middle-aged Englishman. His wife had recently died, and depressed by the prospect of the oncoming Swedish winter, he made an impromptu car journey to Paris. Here, he is involved in a violent incident, which starts a chain of events that follows him back to his quiet Swedish coastal village. The book series follows his desperate attempts to stop its murderous consequences from affecting him or those dear to him.Signature is a change of pace. Its subject is an eighteen-year-old orphan, Signe, who is attempting to overcome the loss of both her parents. Her single-mindedness and love for Karate make her a force to be reckoned with. The novel is set in Ystad, southern Sweden.Revelation traces the efforts of Lena to discover her husband Adam’s past after he dies unexpectedly at home in their house in Skillinge, Southern Sweden.
